The weather in Patagonia was not cooperating and our excursions kept getting canceled. Wee decided to return to Punta Arenas to try and make a penguin watching expedition. After some major disappointments, it felt likee a miracle when it didn’t get canceled. Here is a Magellanic Penguin, shot with my old beat up point-and-shoot on it’s last gasp of life.

🗺 The view from the 148th floor of the tallest building in the world! The At The Top observation deck is 555 m or 1823' above ground 😨 The full tower including spire is 840 m! The view was more or less 360°, but I found it most striking looking out over the "tiny" skyscrapers of the financial district. Trying to make the best of my accidental day in Dubai...

🗺 Final hike of 2016. I wasn't able to be as active as usual this year due to injury, but I enjoyed strolls around Lake Hollywood, a trip to Rainier, my first backpacking trip, and a handful of other hikes with good friends. Looking forward to a healthy and active 2017!
